Steve TynegateChurch Warden
Steve hails from Driffield, East Yorkshire and escaped to Newcastle to become a Chemical Engineer (now a FIChE); he later amazed himself by getting an MBA at Bradford. Steve spent his whole working life in the chemical industry, principally in management, and is now a pensioner, but has a personal objective to not watch day-time TV.
Steve is married to Julie and they have three grownup children, all of whom have flown the nest. They met and married in Bristol and have lived and worked in Paris and Norwich before coming to Cheshire in 1999, moving to Chester in 2011.
Steve found faith when 32, is a member of the Leadership Team, a Warden, a Homegroup Leader (with Julie), and part of the Messy team. He is involved in Alpha, and served in Café; Steve is also deeply involved with both Street Pastors and the Credit Union.
Since retiring Steve has taken over cooking duties and has gained a bit of a reputation for curries and cakes. They have a black Labradoodle called Stanley, which not only gets Steve out and helps him achieve his daily step target, but also provides an invaluable resource for one of his many front-lines!
