Heart and Soul Café is here to serve the local community.  We offer simple quality food at affordable prices and a place where you can come and relax and take time out from the busyness of life. Whether you want to sit and read the paper, meet with friends or find a listening ear, we are here to help. There’s a space to sit and contemplate if that’s what you desire. Whether you need food for the body or food for your heart and soul, you will find a warm welcome at Heart & Soul Café.

Pastoral care available

If you need help or want to talk to someone, please ask one of the café team.  They will be happy to help, or direct you to someone who can.

Kindness bowl to help others

At the hatch we have the ‘Kindness Bowl’ where customers give spare change or donate money for people who may be in need of a meal or a drink.  The generosity of our customers has allowed us to bless many in this way.

Our wonderful volunteers

The Café Manager is ably assisted by an enthusiastic team of volunteers from the church and the community. If you are interested in volunteering, please ask in the café or get in touch…

Keeping customers & staff safe in the COVID era

We are following the government guidelines to keep everyone safe. Hand sanitiser is available at the church centre entrance and exit and at the café entrance for customers to use. We ask customers to wear face masks which may be removed to eat food when seated at a table. We’ve introduced social distancing measures and customers are required to give their contact details for Track & Trace (or use the NHSQR code).  We’re sanitising table & chairs after they are vacated by customers, along with frequently touched surfaces.

All our staff are wearing face shields and washing or sanitising hands frequently. Currently we have a reduced menu in order to allow time for the extra duties required to keep you safe, but there’s still plenty on offer.
